Standard precautions to protect our clients

Hearing aids and ear molds will NEVER be handled bare handed until the item has been absolutely cleaned and disinfected with a disinfectant towelette.

The hearing aid or ear mold can be received with a gloved hand, or requesting the client to place the instrument on a tissue, disinfectant towelette, in a container, or in a resealable plastic bag.

Hand sanitizer (or wash hands)

• • before and after each client
  • before and after every procedure
  • before and after removing gloves
  • after touching body fluid
  • after handing money

Glove use:

• • Ear-mold impression
  • Any sign of ear infection

Surface disinfection with Sani Wipe Disinfectant cloth after each client

• • All countertops
  • Earphones. The foam inserts used with insert earphones are discarded after each use.
  • Bone conduction oscillator
  • Client response button
  • Listening stethoscope
  • Furniture
  • Door handles
  • All splash and touch surface

Sterilization:

Tympanogram tips, otoscope tips, tools used for taking impressions and tools used to clean and work with hearing aids will be disinfected in an ultrasonic machine

We encourage our clients hand hygiene at the beginning of their appointment

We encourage you to reschedule an appointment in case

  • Fever
  • Rach
  • Diarrhea
  • Eye infection
  • Exposure to infection: chickenpox, tuberculosis etc.
  • Tested or be in contact with COVID-19 people.

COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES IN PLACE

Symptom screening for all clients
All clients, staff and visitors must go through self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms before entering a clinic.

Masking requirements
Face coverings are required in or clinic. We’ll provide one if you don’t have your own.
All staff will be always masked.

By appointment only
All clients enter only with a scheduled appointment for all services.

Limiting the number of clients
Only one client in the clinic at a time.

Accompany policy
We’re limiting the number of visitors who accompany clients to appointments to one.

Physical distance
All clients encouraged to maintain physical distancing in the waiting room.

Waiting room
We’ve removed magazines, and shared items.

More frequent cleaning
We’re cleaning and disinfecting our clinic more often. All surfaces are clean with appropriate anti-viral cleaners regularly between clients.
