Resound’s Gift of Hearing Campaign!

The 44 Sounds Hearing Aid Clinic partners with GN ReSound in the annual Gift of Hearing campaign, providing care and technology donations to individuals experiencing financial hardship due to hearing loss.

Our mission is to assist those who lack access to quality hearing care and technology.

Each year, we help one individual at the start of the year.

The 44 Sounds donates their time and expertise to program and fit the hearing aids, while ReSound generously provides premium-level hearing aids for donation.

“BREAK THE SILENCE”

“This program is intended to support victims of domestic violence who have a permanent hearing disability, suffer from deafness or hearing loss, and need assistance in obtaining hearing aid treatment, rehabilitation, or counseling directly related to hearing impairment.

“Break The Silence” provides eligible low-income victims of domestic violence access to much-needed hearing devices and treatments free of charge.

Our vision to help women in need has been realized thanks to the generous assistance and support from Oticon, a hearing aid manufacturer in Denmark. “Oticon’s mission was developed from a foundation of care, with the passion to help people with hearing needs. They support this initiative as it brings Oticon closer to their vision of a world where innovative hearing technology can meaningfully change the lives of people with hearing loss,” said our Oticon Partner.

We hope our program will:

    • Help vulnerable women get their lives back by breaking the silence from hearing loss.
    • Increase awareness of the problem by Breaking the Silence and ignorance of the domestic violence issue.

We not only want to help women reduce their hearing disability but also encourage other people to pay more attention to the problem of domestic violence.

Eligibility is limited to women who are between 18 and 65 years of age, Alberta residents, have no other insurance covering the cost of hearing aids, and have an income of less than $33,579 if single or $51,392 or less for a family with children. In all cases, no other insurance covering the cost of hearing aids should be available.

To register for the program, you must provide a valid photo ID, Alberta Hearing Card, and proof of income with one of the following:

  • Notice of Assessment
  • Income Tax Return

Please submit a letter and copies of your documents to clientcare@the44sounds.ca

Donate your old iPhone and receive a free hearing test along with a physical copy of the report.

We will install hearing aid apps and provide all donated phones to clients who cannot afford to have a smartphone to control and optimize their hearing aids.
